Working closely with Auto Enthusiasts is part of Carkhana’s DNA. F1 Race Screenings, Auto Quizzes, hangouts at the cult Legends Motorcycling Café in Bangalore are some of the popular ways to spread the love. Taking the baton ahead, this summer, Carkhana joined forces with Pidilite to host Car Care Workshops across India and Bangalore was the first destination.
Pidilite has its own line of Car Care and Engine Additives products which has made the famed Fevicol company a petrol-heads paradise.
The Place: Hotel Ramada, in the heart of the vibrant city of Bangalore
The Idea: To showcase the extended range of products for Car Care and Engine Care from ‘Moto Max’ and ‘Cyclo’ brands. Beyond the general description and introduction, the real agenda was to educate the audience with advantages and features of the products. Post the session, a live demo of the Moto Max range of products to highlight real time application and ease of use. This session also led to achieving real-time feedback from the automotive enthusiasts and we couldn’t have had it better.
The Host: Mr. Shiv Raj Mehra, Head Marketing, Auto Grooming and Workshop from Pidilite Industries, Mumbai. Shiv is an industry veteran with over 15 years of work experience in sector leading companies likes Pepsi, Gillette etc. Not only apt for the workshop but his automotive knowledge and insights added sheen to the session.
The Audience: By-Invitation only audience of select petrol-heads including owners and country heads of leading automotive product companies, Senior Automotive Journalists, Professional Race drivers, Royal Enfield club members and other Auto enthusiasts.
With the audience the stage was set for some car talks to begin.
What was showcased: The event started off with the introduction to the entire Moto Max range of products.
Broadly divided into two categories: Exterior care and Interior Care.
Catering to all needs of Exterior Car Care, products like Motomax Cream Polish, Care Shampoo, Tyre Foam, Bumper Black, Paint Sealant and the ever useful Glass Cleaner.
Insides of a car were not left behind, with tailor made products like the Dashboard Polish, Protectant spray and Max Clean.

Apart from Car Care, an array of Engine Care and Maintenance products were introduced like the Cyclo Motor Flush, Oil Treatment and Max 44.
Reaction and Feedback: The audience had their share of feedback and questions. Nikhil, a budding race driver from Bangalore had queries asking whether the Cyclo range of products would enhance tangible performance or passive.
Raj, Sales head of a Bangalore based company inquired about the availability of these products for the end user. These were duly answered by Mr Shiv and his colleague from Mumbai, Mr. Victor.
One enthusiast from Bangalore also chipped in with positive words for the Motomax brand highlighting that he got “INR 20,000 more for his car during its sale, thanks to the use of Pidilite’s products”
Auto Quiz : The session was spiced up with Auto Mania Express, the express version of Carkhana’s famed Online Auto Quiz. 15 diverse automotive questions were presented to the audience who challenged each of them with their answers.
Multiple prizes and an awesome 30 minutes were spent with some Auto fun!!
Live Demo: Post a high tea break, Pidilite had a very interesting live demo of Moto Max products. The audience was presented with real time application of Moto Max products. 15 minutes to a shining car! Given the crowd which collected around the demo car, we can surely say that it was an auto affair to remember!
Free Kits: All members of the workshop were presented with Car and Engine Care Kits.
Along with that, Carkhana had surprise takeaway presents for the audience as a kind gesture for their valuable time.
2 hours of pure Car Talk with a Quiz, Live Demo and some goodies to take home, the Bangalore leg of Car Care Workshop was an afternoon well spent.
